Basic queries regarding TLDK proposal.

Hi,
I'm new in fd.io and was going through the TLDK project. Few points I wanted to know about TLDK.
1. Why TLDK is proposed when we have TCP/UDP L4 functionality in fd.io using VPP infra? What were the drawbacks? Why we did not tried to optimize the existing VPP TCP/UDP stack.?

2. How TLDK can be integrated in fd.io ? Is there any example?

I searched in fd.io wiki and community mail list but couldn't find so please help.

Krishanpal,

I won't go into the history, nor the motivations of the people involved, as both of those are always dependent on individual viewpoints.

But there is a fundamental philosophical point that bears repeating:

fd.io is an open innovation regime.  People who wish to work on an innovative idea in dataplane can propose projects at fd.io, join the broader community, and pursue that innovative idea.  Different approaches can be tried and proved out here.  All are welcome :)
